State Updates on Medicare Advantage Enrollment
The one-page reports below for each U.S. state present the number of persons enrolled in Medicare Advantage and prepaid plans in December 2005 and September 2007, in rural and urban areas. The reports show the growth in enrollment in private fee-for-service plans over this period and discuss the policy implications of these enrollment changes.
- Alabama
- Alaska - The Medicare Advantage program in Alaska is limited in scope; thus, enrollment is very low. In addition, CMS does not release enrollment data if a plan enrolls 10 or fewer beneficiaries in a county. Because of these limitations, no report was produced for Alaska.
